We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Sandra Morehouse on July 20th, 2024 at the age of 46. Sandra was born on January 27th, 1978 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was taken far too soon and her brief and tragic struggle with cancer ended almost as soon as it began.
Sandra Morehouse's life was a testament to love, friendship, and unwavering dedication to family. A proud graduate of Michigan State University, Sandra met her husband, David Morehouse, at their mutual friend's wedding. Their twenty-three year love story blossomed into a beautiful partnership and family.
Sandra's capacity to love was boundless, making her a cherished friend to many. Her career, largely dedicated to working with children, highlighted her nurturing spirit and genuine compassion. Yet, it was in the role of mother that Sandra truly shone, becoming the world to her two little girls, who in turn were her entire universe. She reveled in the joy and fulfillment that motherhood brought, demonstrating every day just how remarkable a mother she was.
Sandra had a strong moral compass and consistently acted in alignment with it. She was a steadfast advocate for those she cared about, always prioritizing the needs and well-being of others. Her selflessness and generosity touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Family was Sandra's greatest treasure. She devoted herself to creating a warm, loving home and made every moment with her loved ones count. Her legacy is one of profound love, tireless devotion, and a heart that embraced everyone with warmth and kindness. Sandra’s life was a beautiful symphony of love, dedication, and unwavering kindness, and she will forever be remembered for the joy and light she brought into the world.
Survived by: husband David Morehouse; daughters Piper Morehouse, Priya Morehouse; mother Nancy Trofholz; father Donald Trofholz; sisters Laura Bracken, Kathryn Turk; half sisters Stacey Johanson, Tracey Clough, Brooke Danielle; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Though Sandra generously gave her time and money to many organizations, I believe what would make her happiest is for each of us to spread more kindness and make the world a brighter place.
