Sandra "Sandy" Lee Young

Sandra "Sandy" Lee Young was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Sandra will be remembered as a very exceptional person.

Sandra was born on October 2, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of Jack and Dorothy Lindquist.

Sandra was raised with one sister, Debbie.

Sandra was happily married to her husband, Joe Young for 47 years,

Sandra worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Sandra was blessed with one son, Tony and one daughter, Samantha. Another blessing for Sandra was the gift of two granddaughters and one grandson, Brooklyn, Royce, and Tyler.

Sandra passed away on October 18, 2016 in Southlake, Texas. She is survived by her Husband, Joe Young; children, Samantha and husband Andrew Awad and Tony Young and wife Sandra; and granddaughters, Brooklyn and Royce Awad; and grandson, Tyler Jackson Antonio Young. Services were held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish in Grapevine, Texas.

Sandy was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved playing tennis and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas. Sandra was an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Sandra leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Sandra Lee Young.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Debbie.
