

Sandy Presley was a natural leader whose winning presence allowed him to take control of various situations with ease. Equipped with a clear and calculating focus, he possessed a tough-minded, “take charge” attitude. He had the ability to make even routine situations seem exciting, and he was at ease with the role of playing problem solver.
His parents were Robert Presley and Lucine Eggers. He was optimistic in his outlook on life and was able at all times to be open and direct in his communication.
He had one older brother, Skip, and six younger brothers and sisters, Susie, Lonnie, Barbara, Cody, Danny and Pat.
While growing up, some of his best friends were his brothers and sisters along with Rick Oliver. Later in life, he became friends with Dick Ross, Steve Galloway and Jimmie Morris.
He was able to direct his energy and spontaneity towards helping his daughter acquire added common sense skills. They were also blessed with one grandchild, Presley.
He could be a leader who sought impact for his decisions. He was a good negotiator who enjoyed new challenges. His primary occupation was being the owner and operator of several companies. He was self-employed for most of his career.
His favorite pursuits were hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, flying, and off-roading in his Jeep. He was content to enjoy his hobbies alone but truly enjoyed sharing his interests with others.
Throughout his later years, Sandy was an active member of the National Rifle Association and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
He preferred to seek out excitement wherever he went and he was partial to vacations that were adventurous and challenging. Favorite vacations included bear hunting in New Mexico and Jeep Jamboree trips to Ouray, CO and the Rubicon Trail in Northern, CA.
Sandy fought a brave battle against emphysema. He is survived by his wife, Gertie, his daughter Amber and son-in-law Jason; his granddaughter, Presley; his two sisters Susie and Barbara and his brothers Skip, Lonnie, Cody, and Patrick.
A concrete communicator, he relied on his senses to increase his involvement and awareness of others. He was always able to provide amusing repartee to his friends and acquaintances, offering a seemingly endless supply of quips, anecdotes, jokes and stories.” He enjoyed his life and the experience of living it. This is how everyone will remember Mr. Sandy Presley.

Sandy Presley, of Dallas, TX, passed away, Thursday, January 2, 2020 at UT Southwestern Medical Center surrounded by loved ones.
Sandy was born on April 6, 1952 in Dallas, TX to Robert Presley and Lucine Eggers. He lived his life fearlessly, always searching for the next adventure. His unending entrepreneurial spirit led to so many incredible accomplishments, one of the greatest being the owner and operator for TSD Crane and Rigging. Sandy was a man of passion and integrity, always offering help to those he loved and those he felt were worthy of an opportunity. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, always working his hardest to provide for a better life and a more promising future. Over the years, he developed a love for many things including hunting, shooting, flying and off-roading in his Jeep. Sandy’s love for this country ran deep and he never took for granted the freedoms provided to us by those who serve and have made the ultimate sacrifice. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious laugh and his love for a fiery debate. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all that knew and loved him.
Sandy is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Gertie Presley; daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Jason Wade and his beautiful granddaughter Presley Wade of Argyle, TX; his two sisters Susie Cooper and Barbara Wilson and four brothers, Skip, Lonnie, Cody and Patrick Presley along with their loving spouses and many adoring nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Lucine Presley and his younger brother, Danny Presley.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. Memorial services will begin at 12:30 PM, Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel with the burial immediately following in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
