

Shirley Ann Couch was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Shirley will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of Bill and Hazel Hughes.
Shirley was raised with two brothers Burdett and Gary. Shirley was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
Empathic and loyal, Shirley was committed to making her new family happy.
Shirley worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Shirley was blessed with two sons Dickey and Ted, and one daughter Christy. Another blessing for Shirley was the gift of nine grandchildren Pamela, Brittany, Katrina, DR, Cody, Wesley, Tyler, Jeremy, Bradley and eight great-grandchildren Karis, Teegan, Riley, McKenna, Michael, Matthew, Tristan, and Rylan.
Shirley enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were quilting, crocheting, and she always enjoyed gardening and tending to her numerous plants. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Shirley passed away on March 16, 2016 at her home in Keller, Texas. She is survived by loving husband of 63 years, Richard Couch; children, Dickey Couch and wife, Sharon; Christy Moss and husband, Bob; Ted Couch; Granddaughters, Pamela Martinez and husband, Mike; Brittany Couch and Katrina Couch; Grandsons, DR Couch, Cody Couch, Wesley Moss and wife, Raylee, Tyler Couch, Jeremy Molder, and wife Amy, Bradley Molder, and wife, Dana; Great-granddaughters, Karis Mae Moss, Teegan Rae Moss, Riley Ann Molder, McKenna Molder; Great-grandsons, Michael Martinez, Matthew Martinez, Tristan Molder, and Rylan Couch; friend, Michael Greenfeder, nieces, nephews and grand-dog, Tuffy. Services were held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Memorial Chapel in Colleyville ,Texas. Shirley was laid to rest in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
Simply stated, Shirley was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Shirley leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Shirley Ann Couch.

Shirley Ann Couch passed away on March 16, 2016 in her home in Keller. She fought the good fight courageously and passed at 81 years of age.
Service: Funeral Service will be held at 12:30p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
Visitation: 4-6pm on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.
Biography: Shirley was always giving back to others. She volunteered at Riding Unlimited where she loved helping others to regain mobility through riding. She selflessly volunteered her time as a volunteer of Baylor Hospital at Grapevine crocheting caps for new born babies. During her time volunteering, she made about 300 caps within the past three years. Shirley was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who leaves great love and beautiful memories. She had fun driving pony carts, and enjoyed caring for her grand-dog, Tuffy. Her hobbies were quilting, crocheting, and she always enjoyed gardening and tending to her numerous plants.
The Couch Family would like to express our appreciation to Dr. Michael Aragon, Dr. Gerald Harder and Dr. Keith Thielman for all of their support and care for Shirley. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Hazel Hughes and brothers, Burdett and Gary.
