

My Anchor Holds Within the Veil”
Steven Glenn Miller stepped in the eternal Kingdom of God on Friday, January 3, 2025. We are confident he is in the Throne Room now joining the thousand generations before him singing honor and praise to his beloved Creator and His Son, Jesus.
Steven was born in 1955 in Brooklyn, New York. He moved with his family to Texas in 1967 and enjoyed grade school at St. John the Apostle school. He attended high school at Trinity in Euless graduating in 1973. His college career began at the University of Texas at Arlington and concluded at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas, by graduating in 1977 with a degree in accounting. He furthered his education by obtaining his CPA designation.
He had a 44-year career in accounting with various oil and gas companies in the DFW area. His attention to detail and loyalty to a job well done made him a very respected and valued employee. He retired in 2021 from Hunt Oil after working for with them for over 25 years.
Steven was sealed into the Kingdom of God during his time at SFA at the height of the Jesus Movement that was sweeping college campuses at the time. He developed lifelong friendships during this period of his life that were truly a source of Kingdom values, encouragement and fellowship throughout his entire life.
It was during his retirement years that Steven’s gifting and love for the Kingdom of God was truly able to flourish. He represented the Kingdom sacrificially and humbly through his gifts of prophecy, prayer and encouragement.
Steven’s greatest legacy was his tenacity and devotion to prayer. If he said he was going to pray for you he did! Steven was also generous in giving prophetic words or encouragement and edification to all he encountered.
Because he was such a gifted writer, family and friends all relished receiving cards and notes from him because they always revealed his heart posture of love, thoughtfulness and kindness.
Steven enjoyed old movies, a good game of Rummikub, and meals with friends and family, He was a gifted genealogy buff, and traced his family roots back for centuries well before any online ancestry tools were available.
Steven was a member of Gateway Church NRH, and truly enjoyed the teaching, fellowship and God-honoring environment.
Steven leaves behind to cherish his memory his siblings: Susan Thompson, Mark Miller and his wife Joni, Joan O’Brien and her husband Hal and Linda Butler and her husband Ron. He also leaves his nephews: Michael Miller and his wife Valerie, Chris Miller and his wife Megan, Kevin O’Brien and Will O’Brien. In addition, his great nieces: Sophia Miller, Elizabeth Miller and Freya Miller.
Steven cherished his paternal Pennsylvania roots and has so many good memories of his grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins there. His maternal New York roots were also deep and life-giving. His grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins all filled his life with joy. Steven especially enjoyed his connection with his Uncle Joe.
The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thanks to all the lifelong friends of Steven, and to the men in Steven’s various life groups who consistently brought so much validation and encouragement to him. He truly cherished the time he spent with all of you.
The family also thanks and praises God for Steven’s life, and the impact it had on the Kingdom.
A visitation for Steven will be held Monday, January 13, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 COLLEYVILLE BLVD, COLLEYVILLE, TX 76034. A funeral will occur Monday, January 13, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 5725 COLLEYVILLE BLVD, COLLEYVILLE, TX 76034. A committal will occur Monday, January 13, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 5725 COLLEYVILLE BLVD, COLLEYVILLE, TX 76034.
