Veronica S. Higginbotham

Veronica S. Higginbotham, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend age 94, of Justin, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 8:30PM. A resident of Brownsville, Texas for many years, she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Veronica was known for her warm heart, open home, and unwavering positivity. She was a great listener and had a unique ability to touch everyone's heart with her kindness. Family was her greatest joy, and she always made time for those she loved, no matter what. Her legacy of love, compassion, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.

Veronica is survived by her three children: Noemi Cox (William), Irma Lasley, and Frank Higginbotham (Christine); 18 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two siblings who were close to her heart. She was preceded in death by her four children, three grandchildren, and five sibling's.

Veronica is the daughter of Leonardo Solis and Hortencia Solis Jasso. Her warm spirit, strong family values, and ability to make everyone feel like they belonged will forever be remembered. Veronica's love for her family was boundless, and she leaves behind a rich legacy of love and strength that will continue for generations to come.

A funeral service for Veronica will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.
