

Virginia Alice Hammett, age 82 of Fort Worth, TX, passed away on January 28, 2022 in Springtown, TX. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on August 24, 1939. She was married to her husband Arnold Hammett, Sr. for over 50 years with whom she shared six wonderful kids.
Virginia retired from a career in food service with Eagle Mountain/Saginaw School District. She was passionate about her family, quilting, and photography. She enjoyed driving and traveling, especially taking trips with her family. She was an active member of the Saginaw Quilting Club for many years. She was also a member of Christian Center of Fort Worth Church, a devoted Christian and had a deep love for Jesus.
Virginia was survived by her children; son, Donny, wife Dorothy, son, Gary, wife Dezi, son, Ed, wife Linda, daughter, Mary, husband Tommy, son, Arnold, Jr. and wife Sheri. Siblings; brother, Sam, wife JoAnn, sister, Juanita, husband Steve, sister, Naomi, husband Jeff, sister, Dorothy, husband Dale. And many, many, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren who loved her.
Virginia was greeted in heaven by her husband, Arnold Hammett, Sr., parents, siblings, grandson Shawn, granddaughter Jennifer, and her sweet daughter Rita Faye Wilson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Christian Center of Fort Worth, 4301 NE 28th St. Haltom City, TX. The Viewing will be held at the church prior to the service at 12:00 p.m., with a family viewing at 11:00 a.m. A procession will follow with a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville, TX. Flowers and memorials can be sent to Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home c/o Virginia Hammett 5725 Colleyville Blvd.
