Willa R. "LaRue" Cox

Willa R. “LaRue” Cox, long-time resident of Hurst, Texas, passed away from this life on April 28, 2019, in Waco, Texas at Wesley Woods Retirement Home at the age of 92. She will always be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother; and as a caring, giving and uplifting Christian friend to all that knew and loved her. LaRue lived life to the fullest and prepared in this life to do the same in the next with the Lord whom she served. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ since the time she obeyed the gospel in her youth. She was born on March 2, 1927, in Iowa Park, Texas, to Zeph “ZJ” Fancher and Lorena Dean Fancher.

LaRue is survived by one brother - Leon Fancher of Columbia, South Carolina; one sister - Zoe Hill of Dennis, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law - Lyndon and Lynnette Cox of Keller, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law - Pam and Billy Wilson of Lorena, Texas; nine grandchildren and spouses - Andrea and Chris Hogland, Melissa and Kelly Turner, Lana and Jonathan Nissen, Eric and Ashley Cox, Cassie and Jeremy Hykel, Grant Wilson, Lexi Wilson, Austin and Hallie Wilson, and Candice Wilson; ten great grandchildren - Avery and Camdyn Hogland, Hudson and Marshall Turner, Greyson and Bennett and Henry Cox, Abe and Willa Nissen, and Conrad Hykel; and numerous nephews and nieces.

LaRue was preceded in death by four sisters - Verda Norville, Othella “Pat” Rogers, Wanda Simi, and Glenna Langley; and by her loving husband - Lloyd P. Cox, who was privileged to serve as an Elder at the Fossil Creek Church of Christ in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Visitation will be held from 5-7 o'clock on Friday May 3, 2019 at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday May 4, 2019 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel.
