

William Ronald "Ron" Hyde was a natural leader whose winning presence allowed him to take control of various situations with ease. Equipped with a clear and calculating focus, he possessed a tough-minded, “take charge” attitude. He had the ability to make even routine situations seem exciting, and he was at ease with the role of playing problem solver.
His parents were Wellington “Doc” Hyde and Wilma Nell Hyde. He was optimistic in his outlook on life and was able at all times to be open and direct in his communication.
A concrete communicator, he relied on his senses to increase his involvement and awareness of others. He was always able to provide amusing repartee to his friends and acquaintances, offering a seemingly endless supply of quips, anecdotes, jokes and stories.” He enjoyed his life and the experience of living it. William Ronald “Ron” Hyde, of Hurst, Texas, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017. He will always be remembered as a loving father, husband, brother, and son, by all who knew and loved him.
Ron was born on June 5, 1947, in Dallas, Texas to Wellington “Doc” Hyde and Wilma Nell Hyde. Ron is survived by his wife Mary, son Jeremy Hyde, daughter Audrey Hyde, and sister Lynell Hightower. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Wilma Hyde, of Euless, Texas.
He was a 30 year member of the Euless Fire Department, and served as the chairman of the senate advisory committee. Where he helped formulate most of the state’s fire codes, and taught fire techniques and regulations at the National Fire Academy and Texas A&M. After his retirement, he continued his commitment of public service by working with his community of Richland Hills as chairman of the zoning board.
Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery on Highway 360.
