

Adam Ronald Scharf, of Collierville, Tennessee, died peacefully of natural causes at his home on Thursday, November 4, 2010. He was 47 years old. Born January 5, 1963, in Weehawken, New Jersey, Mr. Scharf, the son of a business executive, spent much of his childhood overseas, living in England and Italy. He graduated high school from the American School of Milan in 1981. Returning to the United States as a young man, Mr. Scharf earned a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Accounting from Saint Peter’s College in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, in 1989. Mr. Scharf spent his career working as an accountant and auditor. He traveled a great deal in the course of his work and was particularly fond of Puerto Rico. He worked for a number of firms in the medical and financial industries, including the Prudential Insurance Company in New York City, before settling in Collierville, where he worked as a Data Analyst for TruGreen Service Master. Mr. Scharf is survived by his parents, Ronald and Cynthia Scharf, of Collierville, Tennessee, and his two siblings, Michael Scharf of Springfield, Virginia, and Jennifer Scharf of Vero Beach, Florida. The family will receive friends Sunday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Collierville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Incarnation in Collierville, with burial to follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
