

Alton Delbert “Del” Hayman, age 75, of Piperton, TN, passed away on February 7, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on July 21, 1950, in St. Louis, MO to Alton E. Hayman and Grace A. Hayman. He served as a 1st Lt. in the USMC. Del graduated from University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He worked at Wurlitzer and in the furniture business as a plant manager for 25+ years. He then had a successful career leading Hayman Engineering for 16+ years. He never planned to fully retire.
He enjoyed golfing, his Bronco, woodworking, football, boating, and the beach. He loved Hayman Engineering and his Hayman Engineering family. He loved to travel for music and good food. But mostly, he loved to surround himself with his family and friends.
Del brought light into the lives of everyone he met. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work and generosity that will be carried forward by his family: daughters April Munier (Jeff), Amanda Norton (Jacob), and Melissa Sims (Casey); and his grandchildren: Sidney, Maggie, Emily, and Brett Munier, Abby and Jake Norton, Paige, Hayden, and Halle Sims.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Janet H. Hayman, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Alton E. Hayman, and his younger brother Paul Hayman. He is also survived by his sister Mary Hurt, and his brothers Tom Hayman and Lyman Hayman, and his high school sweetheart Tierelee Logan.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 13, 2026 at Collierville Funeral Home, located at 3863 Bailey Station Rd, Collierville, Tennessee from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Following the visitation, a memorial service will take place at the same location beginning at 7:00 pm
