Andrew “Andy” Rose III, age 81, went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 22, 1944, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to the late Andrew Rose Jr. and Mary Louise Hodge Rose.
Andy attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he met and married the love of his life, Marti Ann Caudra. They were married on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1967. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Memphis to begin their life together and raise their family. Andy pursued a career in industrial finance, which included a move to Benton, Arkansas. In 1981, Andy, Marti, and their two daughters, Michelle and Kendyl, returned to Collierville, Tennessee, which they happily called home.
Andy was a devoted fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and kept up closely with University of Arkansas athletics. He and Marti attended as many Razorback football games as possible, often combining trips with visits to family in the Siloam Springs area. In addition to his love for Razorback sports, Andy enjoyed golfing and traveling. Together, Andy and Marti explored many wonderful destinations—from the Augusta hills during the Masters Tournament, to the beaches of Florida, to the mountains of Colorado, and countless places in between—capturing their adventures through photographs.
One trip in particular grew into a cherished annual family tradition: vacations to Fort Walton Beach, Florida. What began with their immediate family grew over nearly 50 years into a gathering of more than 50 relatives and friends each year, including cousins, nephews, grandchildren, and friends from Indiana and Louisiana. This tradition reflected Andy’s warm personality and natural charisma. He had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went and to captivate anyone within earshot. A gifted storyteller with a quick wit, Andy found his greatest joy in making others laugh.
Andy loved the Lord, his family, and his church home at First Methodist Church of Collierville. He lived with faith and peace, confident that all would be well when he was called home. Whether known as Andrew, Andy, Boo, Brother, Poppy, or Pops, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marti Ann Cuadra Rose; his daughters Michelle Palmer (Matthew) and Kendyl Brannon (Satch); grandchildren Sean Kelley (Bethany), Tayler Morrison (Wes), Quenten Brannon, Cayman Brannon, and Emily Brannon; great-grandchildren Weston Morrison, Arden Morrison, Collins Caskill, and Hampton Kelley; his sisters Susan Rose Morris (Vincent), Marianne Rose Christopher (Michael), and Carol Rose Umphress (Richard). He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A memorial service celebrating Andy’s life will be held on Saturday, February 21, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Collierville Funeral Home.
