It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Charles Ducker, on July 25, 2024, at the age of 86. He was surrounded by his loving family in his final moments. Charles was a man of immense humor and wisdom and he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His passions for motorcycles, fishing, and sports, as well as his unwavering faith, will forever be remembered. He is survived by three daughters, Cindy Mills and Cheryl Miller, both of Collierville, TN, and Tracy Bassham of Slayden, Miss, five beautiful grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Charles was born in Avery Creek, NC to a loving family; but unfortunately lost his mother at age 10, due to illness, and his father before graduating high school, due to a tragic accident. After school he served in the United States Air Force and afterwards began a successful career in the printing industry. When Charles retired from the printing business, he began a new chapter in his life that involved woodworking, furniture, antiques and owning and running, along with his wife Jane, an antique shop called Not Forgotten Antiques in Collierville.
Charles’ greatest joy was being surrounded by his family and reflected the love of Christ to everyone he knew. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, Monday, July 29, 2024, at the Collierville Funeral Home. Memorial services will be directly after at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at the West TN Veteran’s Cemetery at a later date, to be determined. Memorials can be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church at 945 Quinn Road, Collierville, TN, 38017.
