Charles Edward O'Neil, Jr.

Charles Edward O’Neil, Jr., 97, of Collierville, died Wednesday, July 9th at Dove Health and Rehab in Collierville. Mr. O’Neil was born April 1, 1917 in Germantown, to the late Charley and Frankie M. Benero O’Neil. He was retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber in Memphis and attended First Assembly of God in Collierville. He enjoyed gardening, working out doors, fishing and his family. Mr. O’Neil was preceded in death by his wife, Truie Mae O’Neil. He is survived by his daughters; Betty Donaldson of Memphis, Peggy McCandless (Jerry) and Charlene Vaughn both of Collierville, Billie Hamilton (Charley) of Eads, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2pm, Sunday, July 13th with visitation beginning at 12pm at the Collierville Funeral Home. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Gideons International or Collierville First Assembly of God.
