Delaine Luster

Delaine is survived and beloved by her children; Zack Street II (Angie), Amy Leach (Gary), and Melissa Sells (Ron). Forever cherished, loved, and remembered by her five grandchildren; Zachary, Charlie, and Wesley Street, and Madeline and Emersyn Sells. She leaves her sister; Dianne Abernethy of Columbus, GA, and four nieces; Jill Land (Ben), Chamblee Abernethy, Lindsay Abernethy, and Kelli Couch (Darden). She also leaves behind many other friends who will sadly miss her.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Delaine (“Mimi”) found so much joy in spending time with her family. She also loved the outdoors whether walking her dogs, watching her humming birds and bluebirds, or taking care of her garden. A lover of life and a nurturer at heart, she was an advocate and volunteer for the Germantown Animal Shelter, and was always willing to adopt, foster, or rescue an animal in distress. She adored her two dogs, Toby and Heidi. Delaine had a kind-hearted spirit and southern charm that just always invited you in to let you know that she was there for you. Always there to listen, to help, to encourage. She was beauty inside and out, and a bright light for all of her family and friends.

A celebration of Delaine’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 23,2025 at Germantown United Methodist Church with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
