Dixie Lou Amos Frazier was born in Bald Knob, Arkansas to John William Amos and Thelma Dean Woodruff. Dixie spent her formative years in Keiser, Ark. She was the eldest of 4 children, Shirley, Deanna and Billy. She attended Northwest Mississippi Community College on a basketball scholarship where she earned a degree in Business Management.
While attending school she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which would define a life of service, faith and devotion to her savior Jesus Christ. It was at the time she met and soon married Charles Henry Frazier, Jr.
As a wife of a Marine Corp officer, she served her family, community and church in numerous locations throughout the years. Her poise, grace and love for others would endear her in the hearts of all who came in contact with her.
Dixie's greatest calling in life was that of Mother. In the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ, Dixie and Chuck raised 6 children; Charlie, Diana, Lorraine, Jon, Nicole and Jessika. She has 17 grandchildren: Chuck, Andy, Bryant and Samantha; Jeremiah and Daniel, Rachel, Carly, Jenna, Shane and Cassie; Adam, Matt, Garrett and Joey; Sarah and Joshua; 11 great-grandchildren: Charles, Aryanna and Damon; Alex and Ava; Charlie; Eliza and Riley; Raffa and Theo; and Blake. She was never happier than when she was surrounded by her family.
On June 9th, 2020, she crossed the veil to be reunited with her eternal companion, Chuck, son Charlie, grandson Daniel, her father, mother and sisters and all her family and friends that preceded her in death.
We look forward to the day when we will all be reunited as an eternal family.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Latter Day Saints Cemetery, Truslow Road, Sarah, MS 38665.
