Donna Sanders, age 81, of Collierville, TN, passed away peacefully after a long illness on February 8th, 2026. Born on November 10th, 1944, in Lafayette, IN, Donna was the third of five children of Cecil and Marie Nichols and was married to Marvin Sanders for 47 years prior to his death.
She worked in the clerical field for her children’s school district and later in banking and will be remembered for her love for her grandchildren and great-grandson. She is survived by daughters Michelle Monroe (Ron Bethea) and Deborah Thornton (Larkin Tucker), grandchildren Jillian Thornton, Everett Thornton, Logan Monroe and Lawson Monroe, and great-grandson Samuel Broglen. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Sanders.
A funeral service will be held on March 13th, 2026 at 9:30 AM at Collierville Funeral Home, followed by a brief interment service at West TN Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Jersey Angels (newjerseyangels.org).
