We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Elizabeth Rice Higgins, of Collierville, TN. Elizabeth passed away, surrounded by her loved ones, Friday, January 6th after a courageous battle with Cancer.
She was born in Germantown, TN on April 26th, 1988 to Donna Worley and Richard K Rice.
Elizabeth graduated from Briarcrest Christian High School, and went on to attend college at Mississippi State and Ole Miss where she was a proud member of the Phi Mu Sorority. She was married to Marc Higgins on November 13th, 2016. Elizabeth was happiest spending time with family members and loved spending time with her daughter Kylie at the pool, zoo, and local parks. Her hobbies also included photography, biking, cheering on the Memphis Tigers, flowers, and country music.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Kylie Higgins, siblings Katherine (Bob) Vagner, Kyle (Hannah) Rice, Jack Rice, Hunter (Katherine) Worley, Courtney (Kyle) Tucker, Katie (Les) Hunter, Taylor (Kyle) Yatsula, parents Richard K Rice and Donna (John) Worley, step-mother April Rice, and 8 Nieces/Nephews.
A visitation is scheduled for 11:30 on Tuesday, January 10th at the Alice Cartwright Chapel of Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville, TN. A graveside service will follow visitation at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mid-South Transplant Foundation.
