Francis Edwin Wilson

Francis Edwin Wilson, 80, of Collierville, passed from this life Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. He was born October 21, 1934 in Lake Village, AR to the late Charles B. and Odda Wilburn Wilson. Mr. Wilson served his country in the United States Air Force. He was retired as a Service Technician with Memphis Light Gas and Water and Owned and operated Wilson Heating and Air. He was a member of Collierville First Baptist Church served as a Sunday School teacher for 14 years and was a singer in the choir as well as solos. He loved woodworking, fishing, gardening and had a very generous heart. Mr. Wilson is survived by a son, Francis Edwin “Frank” Wilson, Jr., a step daughter, Barbara Ayash, a step son, Ron McElhaney, his siblings, Sylvia, Glen Dale, Fredrick, Billy and six grandchildren, Christian, Alexis, Nick, Jake, Keith and Shayne. The family will receive friends at 1pm, Wednesday, April 29, 2015 with Funeral Services at 2pm in the T. Carl Rutledge Chapel of Collierville Funeral Home. A reception will follow the service. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery on Holmes Rd. in Memphis.
