James Thomas Piper

We are sad to announce the passing of James Thomas Piper of Collierville, TN. James sadly left us at the age of 57 on September 10, 2022. He was born November 18, 1964 to Jenette and Ret Lt Col James Piper at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. He was a 1984 graduate of Airline High School in Bossier City, LA. In 1994, he received his degree in Journalism from Northeast Louisiana University.

To know James was to know his love of all things Louisiana, Halloween, and Heber Springs, AR. He cherished his family, his many friends and was always willing to lend a hand whenever asked.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jenette Piper. He is survived by his father James Piper of Collierville, TN and his brothers Richard Piper (Deborah Piper, niece Victoria, and nephew William) of Canton, GA, Dr. David Piper (Ashley Piper, niece Chloe, and nephew Grayson) of Germantown, TN, and Stephen Piper of Collierville, TN.

The family will hold a private memorial service.
