Jim C. Perkins, Jr., 66, of Collierville, passed away April 17, 2012. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, April 20, and funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21, all at Collierville Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens Mausoleum. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Sr. and Willie Eva Perkins; and 2 brothers, Arthur W. Perkins and Wayne Johnson. Jim is survived by his wife, Teresa A. Perkins; 4 daughters, Sherry Ann Smith, Shannon Davis, Shannon Wilson, and Alexis Perkins; 2 sons, Warren Perkins and Kenneth Perkins; 2 sisters, Mary K. Gatewood and Willie M. Dowdy; 5 brothers, Lee Raymond Perkins, Willie T. Perkins, Elroy Perkins, Thomas E. Perkins, and Albert Franklin; his special nephew, Keshawn Walton; and a host of grandchildren, family and friends. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
