

Michael “Mickey” Harmon Micklos, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on April 6, 1952, to George and Katherine Micklos, Michael lived a life full of joy, happiness, and a real zest for life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Janice Jones Micklos, and their three children: Dustin Micklos, Sarah Micklos Wagner (Lawrence Wagner), and Julie Micklos Myers (Allen Myers). He was a proud grandfather to Harrison Wagner and Wilson Myers. He is also survived by his sister, Pamela Micklos Grobmyer.
Michael was a skilled electrician and longtime member of IBEW 474. He graduated from Kingsbury High School, where he was an accomplished athlete, excelling in both football and baseball. His love for sports continued throughout his life, as he was an avid golfer and bass fisherman. He especially loved fishing with his son, friends, and fellow anglers in his bass club the Chickasaw Bass Anglers, as their meetings and tournaments brought him great joy.
Above all, Michael’s deep faith in the Lord and his love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was the root of his peace, joy, and contentment, even in the face of his tough battle with cancer. A longtime and active member of Ridgeway Baptist Church, he loved his church friends, Sunday school class, and Ridgeway community.
A visitation for Michael will be held Friday, January 17, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Collierville Funeral Home, 3863 Bailey Station RD, Collierville, TN 38017, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
