

Phyllis Marie Pintner, 86, of Germantown, TN passed from this life Wednesday, April 2, 2025 in Germantown, TN. Phyllis was born May 17, 1938 in Cleveland, OH to the late James Henry Hoffman and Edna Marie Youngberg Hoffman. Preceded in death by her parents, Beloved husband, Charles Clarence, Daughter Karen Louise, sisters Margaret Zuelch (Edward), Arleen Havanec (William) and Evelyn Hoffman. Brothers, James (Ruth) and Robert (Barbara), and niece Dawn Goetz (Robert). Survived by daughter Laura Schollaert, favorite son-in-law Warren "Skip" Schollaert, granddaughters Rebecca Langley (Andrew "Drew") and Rachel Schollaert-Semark (Allistair "Alley"), Brother William (Barbara), Sister-in-law Marion and Brother -in-law Allan (Phyllis) and many, many beloved nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was Baptized at the age of 7 on March 18, 1945, at her own request at St Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church and confirmed on March 18, 1951, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Her confirmation verse was Matthew 28:20, "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." Phyllis and Chuck were married on September 22, 1962, at Lutheran Church of the Covenant.
Phyllis worked in the record business until she became a stay-at-home mom upon the birth of Karen and subsequently, Laura. Later she worked as an administrative assistant for Atonement Lutheran Church in Metairie, Louisiana. Throughout her adult life, Phyllis attended Bible study and Sunday School, and shared her faith freely and enthusiastically whenever given the opportunity. Phyllis was honored to be Godmother, to nieces Lynn Hoffman, Holly (Pitner) Hasman, nephew Carl Zellinski and frieds David Scott Steele and Michael Steele.
Phyllis and Chuck raised their two daughters to know and love the Lord and were thrilled to be present at the baptisms of both of their granddaughters.
The visitation for Phyllis will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and the celebration of life to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 507 New Byhalia, Collierville, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude.
