William Louis Jamison (Bill), 94, of Concord, NC, and a former long-time resident of Collierville, TN, died August 9, 2024, in Charlotte, NC. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Faye Jamison, on June 17, 2010; his parents, Dewey and Myrtle Jamison; his sister, Margaret Jamison; and his brother, Howard Jamison. Mr. Jamison was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired dairy farmer who attended William Moore College of Technology before embarking on a 30-plus-year career as an HVAC technician for Carrier Corporation. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Mr. Jamison was an avid sports fan who enjoyed nothing more than supporting his kids and grandkids in their athletic competitions. He was a kind, loving, supportive man who relished the roles of husband, father, and grandfather. In his later years, he found pleasure in spending time with his faithful companion, River, an English Golden Retriever.
He is survived by his daughter, Janet (Kevin) Cheek of Concord, NC; two sons, Louis (Joanne) Jamison of Germantown, MD, and Robert (Meg) Jamison of Arlington, VA; and his grandchildren: Brooks (Shawn), Bradley (Anne), Will, Ben, Kelsee (Jordan), Drew (Victoria), Lauren, Elizabeth, and Caroline; and four great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, at 3 PM, with funeral services to follow at 4 PM, at Collierville Funeral Home, 3863 Bailey Station Rd. Private graveside services will be held on Sunday morning, August 25, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis.
