Ann Rita (Gugliuzza) Campisi, born October 9, 1928 to the late Rosario and Vincenza Gugliuzza and was married to the late Anthony J. Campisi, Jr. She is also predeceased by her brothers Jack and Joseph Gugliuzza.
Survived by her three children: Anthony and wife Teresa Campisi of Egg Harbor City, Joanne and husband Richard Clement of Delaware, and Patricia and husband James Runyan of Florida. Ann had seven grandchildren: Richard, Jason, Andrew, Laura, Leah, Lynn Ann and Elizabeth. She had thirteen great grandchildren and one on the way.
Ann was born in Philadelphia where she met the love of her life, Anthony Campisi. They were married on September 10, 1948. They moved from Philadelphia and made their home in Collingswood, New Jersey, where they raised their three children. Mom loved gardening. They moved to Voorhees in 1983.
Mom had several jobs in her life ranging from a member of the Rosary Society at St. John's Church to a medical library assistant at Presbyterian Hospital. After retirement, her career was dedicated to helping others by volunteering at Kennedy Hospital in Stratford.
Ann enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family and friends. There were always family and friends at our house during the holidays. You never left her house hungry and most times with a goody bag. She loved teaching her grandchildren how to cook. Mom was always dressed well with her hair done and make up on.
She taught her children and grandchildren the meaning of family. Her faith kept her going once her great love passed away. We know that they are together now dancing to Frank and once again enjoying the company of her long lost family.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Samaritan Hospice, 265 S. Route 73, Voorhees, NJ 08043.
