Bobbie leaves behind her beloved husband of 51 years, Charles. Devoted mother to Christine (Jim), Frank (Dana) and Nicole (Nick). Dear sister of Lois Howard (deceased), Claire McMichael (deceased), Patricia Haughey (deceased) and James McGovern. Bobbie was also adored Nana to her four grandchildren, Matthew, Charlie, Cecilia and Cara.
Bobbie was raised in Haddon Heights, NJ with her siblings and parents, Harold and Matilda McGovern. She went on to marry Charles (Chuck) in 1969 and raise her family in Haddon Township, NJ. Her children could always count on her to be on the front steps when they arrived home every day and in the front row of every event they participated in. Bobbie loved spending time with her sisters and family. She spent many happy summers at the Jersey Shore. Her summer home in Sea Isle City was a short trip away from Atlantic City, where you could be sure to find her at the slot machines (a favorite past time). Chuck and Bobbie loved traveling, especially with their brothers and sisters. Many memories were made on countless cruises, island getaways and European trips.
Friends and family are invited to honor Bobbie at services on Thursday, May 6th. Visitation 9:30- 10:30am at Blake-Doyle Funeral Home, 226 W. Collings Ave, Collingswood, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. Vincent Pallotti (St. Joseph The Worker Parish) in Haddon Township, NJ. Interment to follow immediately at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Williamstown, NJ.
