Francis X. Mooney Jr.

Age 87 of Oaklyn formerly of Collingswood

Francis passed mercifully on Tuesday December 6, 2016. Devoted husband of predeceased Marie Lux Mooney. Beloved father of Madelyn (Gary) Mooney-Williams, Marie (Jerry) Mooney-Quigley, Peggy (Bob) Leiter, Francis A (Louanne) Mooney, John (Laura) Mooney and Jeanne (Dan) Falzone. Dear brother of Margaret, Joseph and Robert Mooney. Loving grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Frank worked for the Courier Post as a pressman for 41 yrs. He was a devoted parishioner of St. John’s Church. Frank was an artist and an amateur astronomer in his retirement years. He also was an all-around handyman who could fix anything. A gentle, kind soul with a very strong commitment to his family. He was always there to help and always had a great sense of humor. He will truly be missed.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing on Saturday December 10, 2016, 8:30 – 10:00 AM at BLAKE-DOYLE Funeral Home 226 W. Collings Ave. Collingswood, NJ 08108. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. John’s Church, St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Park Ave. at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
