Henry Edward LaVoice, Jr., M.D., age 93, of Haddon Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2020 at his home. He was born on December 14, 1926, in Philadelphia, PA and was the son of Henry Edward LaVoice, Sr. and Margaret Hammell LaVoice.
Edward was a graduate of Penn State University and received his Medical Degree from Jefferson University Medical School. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
Dr. LaVoice proudly practiced family medicine with his partner and friend, Dr. Ben Paradee for 30 years. Dad enjoyed and treasured his personal relationships with his office staff and the families he provided care for. In his later years, he worked for South Jersey Physician Associates, providing disability evaluations.
An avid golfer, he was a long time member of the Tavistock Country Club. He enjoyed traveling in his later years with numerous trips to Europe and the Caribbean. Dad’s most favorite times were with his son and best friend Robert, playing competitive games of 500 rummy and miniature golf.
In addition to his parents, Dr. LaVoice was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Florence Ratchford LaVoice, his daughter Debbie and his son, Jim. He is survived by his sons: Bill (Mary Joan), Jack (Mara) and Robert, his grandchildren: Devin, Vaughn, Chris, Gina, Kelly, Casey and Daniele and his great-grandchild, Hudson.
A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 1:30 PM in Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ.
