Joe Ann Caputo

Joe Ann was born in Palm Beach FL. She moved to South Jersey, attended college, and resided for over 40 years. In 1980, she became a Special Education teacher for the Collingswood School District. She taught at Thomas Sharp Elementary School, Mark Newbie Elementary School, Zane North Elementary School and Collingswood High School. She also was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve 78th Division, where she rose in rank to Captain. Joe Ann was deployed to Iraq in 2003, and spent three months in Kuwait and eleven months in Iraq. She was a decorated veteran receiving numerous medals to include the Bronze Star. After returning from Iraq, she continued to teach until her retirement in 2010. In her retirement, Joe enjoyed frequenting the Jersey Shore. She will truly be missed.

Family and friends are invited to the Visitation on Thursday October 27 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at BLAKE-DOYLE Funeral Home, 226 W. Collings Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 PM.
