Born in Camden, NJ, he was a longtime resident of Collingswood. He graduated from Collingswood High School in 1967 and attended Camden County Community College.
Wayne was a skilled and dedicated Draftsman and Civil Inspector. He retired as Chief Inspector from Remington and Vernick Engineers in 2019 following 32 years of service.
Wayne was an experienced pilot, flying Cesna and V-Tail Bonanza planes. He also enjoyed drag racing and was a gifted painter. He also loved and cared for his exotic birds, Blue, Cocoa, Ralphie and Alice.
Predeceased by his father, James Arthur Trautz, he is survived by his wife, Lorraine Schofield Trautz. He is also survived by two daughters, Heather Trautz and Sandra Trautz, his son, Jason Trautz, his grandchildren as well as cousins and many friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Blake-Doyle Funeral Home, 226 W. Collings Avenue, Collingswood, NJ.
