

Al was raised in Center, CO, where he met his life long partner, friend , companion, and wife Tina Perea (Martinez). After graduating from Center High School he served in the US Navy during WWII, he was honorably discharged December 1945. Following his honorable service he returned to Center, CO to start a trucking Co. hauling resources throughout the San Luis Valley. In the early 1960's he moved his family to Colo Spgs where he became a fabricator/welder for Denver Equipment and engaged in small real estate. He enjoyed fishing with his wife Tina along with camping and hunting with his family.
Beloved Father, was survived by his Sons Danny, Mike, Jude and daughters Anita, Sandy, and Jewel; the beloved grandfather of Starr, James, Al, Cassidy, Daniel Jr, Sophia, Meela, Roderick, Josiah, Noah; numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and beloved brother of Virginia Vigil. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ernestina (Tina) Martinez, and beloved grandson, Larry.
Our dearest father, and grandpo we enjoyed the love you showed us all, the strength you instilled in us, your wisdom that showed us the way, your encouragement that gave us hope, your funny faces that made us laugh, sharing cartoon laughs together. Our Looney Tune love. You will be missed dearly.

A viewing will be held Thursday January 29, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Home 501 N. Cascade Avenue. A Memorial Service will be Friday January 30, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Swan-Law with interment following at Evergreen Cemetery.
