She was born March 10, 1922 in Providence Rhode Island to Filippo and Rosa LaBagnara. After High School, she attended business school and learned bookkeeping and office management. During World War II she helped her country by working in the shipyard in Rhode Island.
Ann met her husband, Arthur Sherry, at scenic Roger Williams Park in Providence. They were married for 53 years until Art passed away in 1995. Ann worked for ten years in Westport, Connecticut as assistant to the town planner. She balanced work with being a very devoted wife and mother. With boundless energy she would work a full day, prepare dinner, help kids with homework and always be a wonderful hostess when friends visited. After moving to Colorado in 1971 she worked as a Realtor and Property Manager until her retirement.
Ann was a gifted cook, great duplicate bridge player, and outdoor enthusiast. She loved poetry, mystery novels, and playing badminton in the backyard with family. She was active in a women’s hiking group into her early eighties. Her endless love, beautiful smile, and cheerful laugh will be greatly missed.
She is survived by family members; daughter Linda Leonard and husband Anthony of Westminster, Colorado, and son Dr. Paul Sherry and wife Marsha of Monument, Colorado. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Andrea and David Sherry.
