Annie Marcelle Taylor

June 11, 1929 – August 3, 2015

Annie Marcelle Taylor, beloved mother and grandmother passed into eternal life on August 3, 2015. She was born June 11, 1929 in North Carolina to Walter and Mattie Cole Greene.

Marcelle was married December 19, 1953 to Paul Taylor. A military family, they moved frequently throughout the United States and Germany. All six sons were born at different army posts. After the last son attained school age, Marcelle entered the world of retail where she worked until retiring.

Marcelle is predeceased by her husband, son Steven and grandson Jesse. She is survived by sons Michael (Susan), Gary (Liz), Mark (Tia), Terry (Laurie) and Joseph. She is survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

Her family, friends and faith were extremely important to Marcelle. Holidays were always a special occasion as the entire family gathered to celebrate at the Taylor house.

A viewing will be held on Friday, August 7th beginning at 11:00 AM with a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 PM at Swan-Law Cascade Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs. A reception will be held immediately following services.
