Athena was born on a small island off the coast of Greece called Paros. She moved to Athens when she was a young lady and worked for a tailor and learned how to become a seamstress. It was in Athens that she lived when she met and married James Richard Kieff, after WWII in 1953. In 1954, Athena moved permanently to the United States, where she became a citizen, an accomplishment of which she was very proud. Athena was small in stature but large in heart and personality. Nobody who ever met her, would ever forget her.
