Barry B. Jefferson, age 65, of Woodland Park, CO, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2014, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his sweetheart and loving wife of 43 years, Nancy, daughter Jennifer (Eric), son Robert, grandson Jacob and nephew Joshua (Sue and little Brady).
Barry was born in LaCrosse, WI, on June 30, 1949, to the late Lillian and Ted Jefferson. He graduated from high school in Merrill, WI, in 1967 then graduated from Macalester College, where he and Nancy met, in 1971.
Barry loved teaching in CO, then spent many years at Marsh and McLennan in Minneapolis and in New York City until retirement in 2000. He and Nancy returned to Colorado in 2005.
Barry will be best remembered for his love for and devotion to his family and friends, his often hilarious wit, love for cooking, gardening, reading, and for all things Colorado and outdoors, as well as his relentless enthusiasm for the Packers.
