Bobby was born August 26, 1937 to John Coy and Nellie Price in Boone County West Virginia.
During his high school years, Bobby worked in the coal mines of West Virginia. After marrying his wife, Kathie, he moved on to gain some experience and wisdom under the golden arches. Realizing that french-fries do not a man make, he enlisted in the Marine Corps. Thus began his journey in public service. After his service in the Marines he went on to serve as a police officer in Florida, then with the Limon Police Department, and then found his home in the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office where he spent 27 years. After retiring from the Sheriff’s office, he continued on with his service to the community as a Colorado Springs School District 11 security guard keeping young’uns in line until his body no longer allowed him to.
Bobby loved telling stories, and was a practical joker whose laughter was bright and abundant and will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Kris Price; son, Eric Price; grandchildren, Sarah Stott, Kenneth Stott, Carson Price, Christopher Dwyer, Cassidy Price and Emma Dwyer; and his sister, Pat Jarrell.
