Bryce Earl Esgar

Bryce Earl Esgar passed away on Thursday, June 30th, 2022. Bryce was born on April 22, 1932 in Wiley, Colorado to Violet Lucy and Herbert Archer Esgar. He spent his childhood on the farm in Wiley helping his father and getting into mischief with his brothers.

Bryce moved to Cascade, Colorado, in his teens, graduating from Manitou Springs High School in 1951. He often spoke of his adventures of driving tours up to the top of Pikes Peak at just 17 years old and playing ice hockey on a frozen lake near his home.

Bryce proudly served as a Marine from 1953-1956. He met and married his wife of 64 years, Cynthia, in 1958 and together they welcomed four children. Bryce was employed by Continental Airlines as a customer service agent for 30 years where he made many good friends. Bryce was also a member of the Church in the Wildwood for many years. He had a wonderful work ethic and enjoyed being busy. He rarely sat still and enjoyed his work at the airport so much he continued to sky cap after he retired.

In addition to his wife Cynthia, Bryce is survived by daughters Beverlee Mullett (Gary), Kimberly Demers (Todd), and sons Douglas (Keyta), and Bryan (Mitsuko). He will be greatly missed by his loving grandchildren Brittany Ajroud (Mansour), Megan Billesbach (Mark), Katie Clements (Daniel), Kyle Demers (Kimberly), Andrew Mullett (Stephanie), Dylan Demers, Logan Demers, Molly Demers, and Dane Esgar. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Emma, Evelyn, Bryce, Laith, Claire, Noah, Zoey, and Samuel. Bryce is survived by brothers, Bob and Don, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Violet and Herbert, brothers Gale and Roger, and grandson Logan Demers.

Bryce was a kind man with a goofy sense of humor and gentle manner. He loved his Cascade log home, following Colorado sports teams, and playing card games or dominoes. We will miss his trademark greeting, “How’s your Copperosity?”
