

Carol Elaine Morrison passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014. She died peacefully at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born August 2, 1942, in Oklahoma City to Philip Clark Honnold and Elaine Buck Honnold.
Carol attended Edgemere Elementary School and Harding Junior High in Oklahoma City, and graduated from The Valley School in Tucson, Arizona.
She then went on to attend Monticello College in Alton, Illinois. Carol was a very special person to everyone who knew her; an extremely friendly person, she could strike up a conversation with anyone, from all walks of life. Carol was a sweet and caring person with a bubbly personality and a very keen sense of humor, and biting wit. Her thoughtfulness and generosity will be remembered by all who knew her. She was a member of the Junior League of Oklahoma City and Colorado Springs.
Carol was preceded in death by her late mother and father, and brother, the late Philip Clark Honnold, Jr. of Savannah, Georgia, and by grandparents Mr. and Mrs. C. Edgar Honnold, Oklahoma City and Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Buck of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
She is survived by three sons, Howard Eugene "Tres" Melton, III, Buck Maloy Melton, John Clark Melton, and wife, Sara; four grandchildren, Alexander Clark Melton, Victoria Forbes Davida Melton, Imogen Maloy Melton, Deaglan John Melton, to whom they lovingly referred to as "Gramms", all of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by sister - in - law, Kay; her niece, Laine Eubank, and husband Norvin, and children Isabella Caroline Kelley, Court Kelley, and Jack Clark Kelley, of Savannah, Georgia, brother, Frank Buck Honnold of Denver Colorado, and Fletcher and Carolyn Sharp of Oklahoma City.
Also profound appreciation and thank you to Norma, Bella, Demetria, Lorena, Marcella and Victoria; and to Chris, Jeff, and Dan of Evercare Hospice, and Rick Sabato. Carol loved her friends and family dearly and all who worked with her over the years. She will be missed greatly by all who crossed her path in life.
