Charlaine (Galloway) Kirk, 92, passed away June 19, 2021. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, July 26, 1928. She was the fourth child of eight, with two brothers and five sisters. Later the family would move to Annapolis, Maryland in the mid 1930s. Charlaine graduated from Annapolis high school, soon afterwards, she married and had a son. She later went to work for the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company, where she worked for the next 32 years and retired. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW since 1979 and belonged to the local VFW Post 4051. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son, Ben Galloway, her daughter-in-law, LaQueta Gallagher, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Charlaine worked hard all of her life to provide for her family. Later in life, she enjoyed traveling with her second husband Walter. Viewing will be at Memorial Gardens and she will be laid to rest at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
