Claire M. Shuga

Claire Shuga passed into the next life on October 5, 2013 at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Claire, a resident of Colorado for many years, was born on August 12, 1929 in Wilkes Barre, PA, daughter of John Yatsko and Catherine Hanlon. She married Joseph Shuga, a member of the United States Air Force, on Apr. 14, 1956. Claire enjoyed the role of military wife on the various air bases around the world where her husband served. She devoted much time and talent to active participation in the Catholic Chapel Communities at each base. In recent years she enjoyed regular social gatherings with friends. After her husband died in July, 2010, she was in the care of her friends and legal guardians, Bob and Judy Ennis, living in assisted living and memory care at Emeritus at Broadmoor. Besides many friends she leaves behind a niece MaryClaire Yatsko of Tampa, Florida.

Claire was predeceased by her four brothers and sisters.

Visitation will take place on Fri., Oct. 11, 2013 at 10 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado. After her cremation burial will follow at a later date at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
