Connie was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, August 21st, 1933 and was the second of three children of parents, Milton Conner Dear and Gussie Maude Lawrence Dear.
She was a graduate of Rice University, Houston, Texas.
In 1953 she married the late Raymond Curtis Lee and they welcomed two children - their late son, Raymond Conner “Rusty” Lee, and their late daughter, Rebecca Dear Lee Herrin.
Her sister, Francis Marie “Frankie” Dear Smith, her brother, Milton Conner “Bud” Dear and her nephew, Paul Smith, also predeceased her.
Connie enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening, welcoming family and friends to her home and traveling.
She visited and lived in many places. Favorites were her many trips to England and the time she lived at the Naval Air Station at Okinawa, Japan, while her husband was serving with the U.S. Navy. After living in Texas, Tennessee, and California, Connie and Curtis decided to make Colorado their home and Connie lived in Colorado Springs for almost 40 years.
She was a devoted homemaker, a loving and dedicated wife and mother, daughter, sister and aunt, and a wonderful and supporting friend to many. She also had a life-long dedication to her faith and her church.
We will miss her positive, lively and determined personality, and the wonderful times that we shared.
Connie is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends: Roderick Smith, Dana Smith, Benjamin Dear, Lucas Dear; Kevin Lee; Scott and Kay Lee, and Austin and Erin, and Alan and Carlye Lee; Curtis and Lori Lee, and Grace Lee and Cameron Lee; and Daniel, Mathew, Kelly and Cindy Lee; and Marilyn Richardson Dear.
