Deborah "Debbie" Elaine Scott

Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia, her father’s Edward Zitnik and Clarence, her sister Eva, her brother Jimmy, and her grandson Mickey. She is survived by her children, Jesse, Shane, and Daniel; her fur baby, Sassy; four grandchildren, Isabelle, Anthony, Shana, and Sierra; four great-grandchildren Leo, Juniper, Laylani, and Ellie; her sisters, Judy, Christina, and Toni; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Debbie was born on February 12, 1958, in Denver, CO, to Virginia and Clarence Foskett. She was the fourth born of eight children. Growing up in Victor and Cripple Creek, Debbie loved anything outdoors from camping to ice skating. She much enjoyed the homestead where she and her siblings grew up in the mountains.

Debbie was a beloved mother to her three sons Jesse, Shane, and Daniel. She worked as hard as she could to ensure they had a beautiful life and knew how much they meant to her. She was known for always speaking of her kids and her love for them.

After completing school, Debbie began working as a Certified Nursing Assistant, pouring her light and heart into others for over 20 years in Colorado Springs. After retiring she spent many of her days with Sassy, glowing in her most important role as a Nana instilling manners and making memories, or in her garden completing endless projects until she got it just right.

Debbie loved her family, as well as God, and we were so important to her. She reminded us every day of how much she loved us and supported us all at every stage of life. Her door was always open. She helped make the holidays special and reminded us to stop by to see her extravagant decorations, especially for the kids.

Her endless conversations, her bright spirit, her laugh, her loving hugs, and every “I LOVE YOU,” will forever be cherished and missed. Her light will never be dimmed, as it lives on through each of us."

A Memorial Service for Deborah will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Chapel of Memories, 829 South Hancock Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

A Reception will be held after the Memorial Service at the American Legion Post 38, 6685 Southmoor Dr, Fountain, CO 80817.

The family graciously requests monetary donations to assist with Debbie's final expenses.
