

Debra Jean (Debbie) Sullivan, 52, died of natural causes in her home in Black Forest, Colorado on Friday September 24th, 2010. She was born on August 11th 1958 in San Diego, CA to Lena and Floyd German and was one of the couple’s eight daughters. They moved to Colorado Springs in 1971 where they raised their family.
Debbie graduated from Palmer High School in June of 1976. In 1979 she gave birth to her loving son Jamin Triz who continues to live in the Colorado Springs area. Debbie fulfilled a personal goal by earning a degree in History from the University of Colorado in 2000. She enjoyed a loving relationship with her devoted husband Gene for twenty five years.
Debbie was a lover of life. Her beautiful smile was enough to light up a room and she shared many joyous occasions with her friends and family over the years. Her favorite hobbies included gardening, cooking, music and reading. Debbie and her husband Gene enjoyed travelling, collecting vintage hot rods, attending car shows, riding scooters and caring for their dog Maggie.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gene Sullivan; her son, Jamin Triz; siblings, Donna Carr of Colorado Springs, CO, Linda German of Minneapolis, MN, Angie Coleman of Norfolk, VA, Mary LaVoie of Frazier, CO, Dorothy Lardie of Colorado Springs, CO and Susan Stutts of Colorado Springs, CO. She also will be missed by many nephews, nieces, in-laws and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday October 1st, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 2021 W. Pikes Peak Avenue in Colorado Springs. Following the service a celebration of life reception will be held at 106 East Del Norte, Colorado Springs.
