DENISE LOREE PASSANANTE, 74, died on June 12, 2020, due to complications from Pancreatic Cancer. Denise passed peacefully, under Hospice care and surrounded by her loving family. She had a long, fulfilling career as an X-Ray technician and as a Regional Manager and Physician Liaison for Rocky Mountain Health Maintenance Organization (RMHMO). Denise was born January 26, 1946, in Phillipsburg, KS, to James and Mary (McClure) Atkinson. She attended High School, X-Ray technician training and nuclear medicine training in Denver, Colorado. She lived in Colorado Springs from 1971 through her death in 2020. She was an avid tennis player at the Colorado Springs Racquet Club, loved traveling, loved being with her friends and family and doted on her grand children. Denise was married November 23, 1968. She is survived by her husband Carl J. Passanante, sister, Sharon (Herb Renke), son, Chace Passanante (Stephanie Brown), daughter, Merrick Pearson-Casanova (Tom), three grandchildren, Brady Pearson, Carter Pearson and Izabella Passanante, along with multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. A viewing is planned for Tuesday, April 16, 2020 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO. A celebration of life service will be scheduled at a later date.
