

Dennis "Bird" Robbins, 76, passed away at home unexpectedly on June 13, 2025. Dennis was a Colorado native born October 11, 1948 to James and Dorothy Robbins of Colorado Springs and enjoyed much of his life as a 'Westsider'. He attended St. Mary's High School but later graduated from Palmer High School. Following his father's footsteps, he took up the trade of sheet metal working and spent many years in mechanical contracting. From apprenticeship, to foreman, to eventually lead project manager, his career grew through many companies over the years both locally, on the western slopes, and even as far as Corpus Christi, TX until his retirement in 2015. He met his wife Randi Gresvik in Houston, TX in 1979 and married in 1985. Dennis had a deep passion for golf and loved the outdoors, usually enjoying camping and fishing especially with family. He was an avid sports fan and took great pride in all of his Colorado teams. He was also a devout Catholic and loved his parish community at Sacred Heart Church. He is survived by his wife Randi (Rondi) Robbins, his daughter Jenny Robbins, his nephew Brian Robbins and wife Alison, his niece Renee Walker and husband Josh, and nephew Cary Robbins and his wife Jennifer as well as several grandnieces and grandnephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy and father James, and also his three siblings: brother Richard Robbins (and wife Sue), brother Paul Robbins, and sister Kathleen Robbins. A memorial mass will be held for him on July 1, 2025 at 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 2030 W Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80904. A visitation time to pay respects will be available starting at 9am. Following the service, Dennis will be laid to rest in the Abbey of the Angels Mausoleum at Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 3825 Airport Road, 80910. Memorial Donations can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Dennis will be deeply missed but forever in the hearts of all his family and friends who loved him.
