I was recently thinking of Dr. Foti and looked him up finding out he had passed away.  I am very saddened to hear of his passing.  In 1997 Dr. Foti repaired my nose from a Piñata experience gone bad.  I was 18 years old when this happened.  He was so generous and helped my parents find a way to pay for the operation as the insurance company was being difficult and my parents did not have the money for the procedure.   He did an amazing job reconstructing my completely destroyed nose, but I will always remember him most for his kindness and the assistance he provided my parents.  A few years later my friend shot himself in the leg and Dr. Foti was able to repair the enormous injury without having to further traumatize my friend with a skin graft.  The world has lost a wonderful doctor and a very kind man.

In 1991 Dr Foti repaired my face after a bicycling accident in Colorado Springs. I was thinking of him today, remembering what a good man he was, how he helped me and so many others through terrible injuries and in times of dire need, and was very sorry to learn of his passing. I hope his family and friends find comfort in knowing that he was admired and appreciated by many people, chief among them me.

What a gift this man was to me at a rather scary time. It is only now  (8/23) that I am learning of his death so forgive me if this seems a bit of an odd time to express my thoughts.  
Our family was flying through Monarch Pass there in CO 1993 when an apparent down draft took us into the mountain - a ski slope - there.  So many miracles: no fire, all three of us living, having help at the plane within minutes...  But this man  is the one who put may face back together after all bones but my lower jaw were broken.  Friends spoke of his only having my CA driver's license to know what I was supposed to look like, and he made that happen.   He was so gentle and encouraging for those 10 days I needed in the hospital.
I have thought of him often with so much gratitude.  I pray that his family has felt the love of the patients he has blessed.  Again, I am so grateful!


I was lost in memory today and thought of Dr. Foti and found this obituary.  When I was 17, Dr. Foti came to the emergency room and put my face back together after a man shot me when my friends and I were riding in my car.  Dr. Foti did 2 more reconstructive surgeries for me over the next few years and today, at 45 years old, I am still proud of what I see in the mirror because of his work.  Even as a teenager, I remember how kind Dr. Foti was to me.  I'm forever grateful to Dr. Foti and hope that my memory of him brings comfort to his family.  Thanks, Doc!  

I was sorry to learn of the death of my friend from so many years ago. Dominic and I were roommates when he was a freshman at Loyola. He sood in my wedding and was a good and faithful friend. No person enjoyed life like he did. He was a successful physician and surgeon -- but more than that a successful husband, father and brother.,

I think of him fondly and a so sorry for his untimely death. 

I just recently learned of Dr. Foti's passing from a mutual patient.  It was my pleasure and privilege to have worked with him on our cleft palate team.  The families always warmly recall how in a trying time, when their little one was born, that he was there to comfort them with his warm demeanor.  That first surgery to repair the lip created a lifelong bond and gratitude from these patients and families. I always learned more about cleft care when I saw patients with him.  He was a great but humble surgeon.  He's the only plastic surgeon I know who didn't wear Prada shoes.

Dear Dr. Foti’s Family,
I’m here to share my condolences on the passing of Dr. Foti.  My son was born with a cleft lip and we were referred to Dr. Foti for his repair 14 years ago.  We were told our son would probably need a follow up surgery when he got older.  Even though we moved away from the Springs and currently live in Atlanta, I recently looked up Dr. Foti’s info so we could bring my son back to do the second surgery.  Dr. Foti did an amazing job on the first repair that we only wanted the best for his second surgery.  Saddened to discover his passing, may God continue to comfort you all.

Heartbroken for you all in hearing the news of Dr. Foti's passing.  He was a joy to know and I've thought of his genuine kindness many times since leaving Memorial Hospital so long ago. The stresses of the operating room were always made much lighter with his genuine kindness to everyone.

So saddened to hear of Dee's passing.  Many fond memories of playing with him and Mica when we were kids.  He was so sweet.  Love and condolences to his family.

Dee' was a great part of in our class of1975  at ACHS.  He was really good at "arguing" with our teachers in a good natured way. With Dee as our classmate, school was  never boring!  Life will not be the same without Dee!

Went on a missions trip with Dom to the Philippines.  Turned out he needed a new passport, but we were in San Francisco (the western US Passport office location) …while they were putting together a new one the rest of the team went on ahead.  We stayed in San Fran for the day, and had an absolute blast!  He was so fun to be with.. what a great friend he turned out to be.  We did many cases together over the years, and it was always such a privilege to work with him…
I will miss my friend greatly, but am so grateful for the times/memories we did have together.

I have wonderful memories of Dr Foti during the 20 years I worked for him. He was a great person, boss and doctor. To Joni, Jena and Chris I’m so sorry for your loss and I’m here if you need anything or want to talk. Love, Karen

    The passing of Dominic is a profound loss. Dominic was a truly good man that held himself to the highest standards and led by example. His good natured positive energy and enthusiasm for life were infectious and uplifting. His friendship and generosity will always be a part of me. It was my honor to have Dominic as a friend.

Heartbreaking to find out about this.  Doc was such a big part of our family’s life.  I trained his dogs, and he showed up an hour and a half early every Saturday morning.  He was determined to learn all about hunting dogs, and devote Saturday’s to it.  Always thoughtful, always funny and always doing more than his share.  He took my son n a Florida vacation, all expenses paid. Always so generous and so sincere…. The world is less now.  Thank you for giving us Doc for too short a time, he always made a difference.  Much love to the Foti family, my heart aches with you 💔

Dee was a great friend and fellow classmate. So sorry to hear of his passing.

Dee, was my classmate .The class of 1975.He was a very nice person. I remember goin to a pool party at his house.Mica his  sister graduated with my sister. Well known family.My sympathy to the family. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I’m so sad to hear of the loss of Dr. Foti. I spent many years scrubbed in or circulating working with him over the years at Premier Surgery center and SCOR surgery center as well! He was a funny and kind man. He loved his family so much! I send my condolences and prayers to all the Foti family. All my sympathy. Teresa Glennon 

I have lots of memories with Dom. Hunting upon Mt. Columbia pheasant hunting in Kansas an just great conversations.  He saved my leg and life. A great friend  He will be missed! Peace to you my friend.
