

Doris passed peacefully surrounded by family, into the arms of Jesus on New Year’s Day 2021 at the age of 94. She was born on October 22, 1926 in Weatherby, MO to Bert and Audrey Wright. She married Laurel Czeschin (a Colorado Springs City Fireman) on September 16, 1954. He passed away March 1995. She married Carl Cooper July 27, 2005. He passed away June 2016. She was also preceded in death by her older sister Florence Toler in 1989.
Doris worked at Sears in Kansas City, MO and then Farmers Insurance who relocated her to Colorado Springs in 1952. She later worked at Colorado Springs National Bank, LooArt Press/Current Inc. as an Accounts Receivable Clerk until retiring in 1987.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Czeschin Mancuso, four grandchildren: Jana Homeyer, Shana Yates (Ryan), Timothy Mancuso Jr., Briana Mancuso and three great-grandchildren.
Doris hoped and prayed that everyone would know, understand and accept the plan of salvation. She accepted Jesus into her heart in 1963. She wanted to meet up with all in heaven someday.
Doris was a longtime member of First Southern Baptist Church, 1409 Palmer Park Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO 80909 where memorial contributions can be made.
Visitation will be Saturday January 9 from 2-4p and Celebration of Life on Monday, January 11 at 1p (a livestream of the service can be accessed through:
