

Eduardo Santos, 92, of Colorado Springs passed away on January 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after an extended battle with complications related to diabetes. He was born on April 25, 1933, in Laredo, TX to Ernesto and Francisca (Garcia) Santos.
He married Guadalupe Cisneros on August 5, 1956. They had been married for 63 years at the time of her passing in 2019. He enjoyed watching college football and was a longtime fan of the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. He also enjoyed an occasional visit to his favorite casino in Cripple Creek.
Eduardo served over 23 years in the United States Air Force, serving during both the Korean and Vietnam wars. After his retirement from the Air Force, he worked for Denver Equipment/Joy Manufacturing, he also owned and operated the Rocky Mountain Boot and Shoe Repair. He also spent several years working as part of the custodial staff at Chipeta and Trailblazer Elementary Schools in District 11.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Alice Ingram, and brothers Ernesto Santos and Erasmo Santos. He is survived by brother Frank, sons Eduardo Jr. (Marda), Juan Santos and Robert Santos. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Wound Care Team at CommonSpirit/St. Francis Hospital and his Nursing/Care Team at Sunny Vista Living Center for the kind, compassionate and professional care that was provided during his illness.
A Military Honors Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 1,2026 beginning promptly at 11:00 am at the Pikes Peak National Cemetery 10545 Drennan Road Colorado Springs, CO 80925.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of choice.
