

Eldon “Al” Erb, 65 of Colorado Springs, formerly of California passed away at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs on Monday, August 9, 2010. He was born August 6, 1945 to Eldon Arthur Erb and Lucille Prusinski Erb in Detroit, Michigan. On June 4, 1988 he married Janet Hoover McDaniel Erb in Newport Beach California.
Al served in Vietnam and retired from the Air Force. He was first stationed with the 445th Airlift Wing at Norton AFB in San Bernadino, California as a Standard Evaluation Loadmaster. He then served with the 446th Airlift Wing at McChord AFB in Washington. Al later served with the 4th Air Force Headquarters at March AFB in California as Chief Loadmaster. He retired as a Senior Master Sgt. Al was a Marshal at the Eisenhower Golf Course at the Air Force Academy and enjoyed golfing. He was an exceptionally loving and generous Husband and Father.
Al is survived by his wife Janet of the home in Colorado Springs, Daughters Cheryl and husband David McPherson of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Lucille Cano of San Diego, California, Son Eldon Erb III, and wife Patricia of Tucson, Arizona, Grandsons Eldon Erb IV, David and Andrew, Granddaughter Breanna and Brother-In-Law Bruce Edmunds of Findlay, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Sister Mary Lou and Aunt Barbara Pruss.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010, 2PM at Grace Episcopal Church, 601 N. Tejon St, Colorado Springs. Inurnment will be private.
