Eleanor passed away at home with her family and caring friends at the age of 91. Born in Feifer, Kansas to Jacob and Brigetta Urban, her family moved to Colorado Springs in the early 1940’s where she met and married her beloved “Angie” Angelo DeMarco who preceded her in death. Together they celebrated over 60 years of marriage and raised one son, Gerald Anthony DeMarco who survives with his wife, Judith DeMarco. Eleanor also leaves behind her three grandchildren and their spouses; Curtis and Dana Cookson (DeMarco), Branden DeMarco, and Jeremy and Gina Curlee (DeMarco) and her two great-grandchildren, Riley and Cameron Cookson. Also surviving are her sisters Sally Wilmont, Monica Moberly, Viola Wichman and Phyllis Wagman and her brother Roy Urban. Also preceding her in death are her sister Florentine and brother’s Marvin, Hubert, Jacob, and an infant brother. Eleanor leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends whom she always had a spot for at her table for some spaghetti. Eleanor’s biggest love was for her family and was happiest when they were in her home. Eleanor was the cornerstone of her family and the love and generosity she built her family upon will continue for generations. Her memory will always be alive in our hearts.
A funeral rite and rosary will be held at Swan Law Chapel on Wednesday, April 13 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to:
